Past Projects

The band currently performs only a very limited number of shows each year. The band currently performs only a very limited number of shows each year.
It was initially envisioned through the collaboration of Steven Villicana, Chip Tarter and myself.
The vision was simple: Source only the finest cross-genre musical materials from the 80s, 90s, 20s and Today. Handcraft them with unique style, package them into bespoke ever-changing set lists and then deliver them with high quality audio with a soundman.
Genres incude: Rock, Country, Dance Pop, Southern Rock, Dance Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, New Wave, Funk / Disco, Indie, R&B.
What the audience danced to next was Anyone's Guess.

After my move back to SoCal I saw a post looking for a singer for a cover band Cheap Date.
I auditioned and instally connected with the founders and dear friends Mark and Rhonda Barry.
We played throughout the San Diego area for several years before it was time for a new challenge.

Random Rhythm was a passion project was founded by my dear Harry Magalong (bass extraordinaire).
The band was chock full of amazing musicians and would have gotten out into the wild if it were not for the high demand on the individual players. That demand resulted in high turnover and restarts which we could never quite overcome.
Harry was the glue that kept us together. I am blessed to have had him as a friend and colleague.

I had the pleasure of being a featured vocalist for the Rolling Heartbreakers show at The Bornemann Theatre in San Marcos.
Their deep musical talent combined with an intimate and precise knowledge of Tom Petty and the Rolling Stones combined with a multi-media presentation makes their shows amazing.
Check them out if you're in the San Diego area.

Synergy was a first class show band out of the Boston area (Leominster to be exact). They were know for their over-the-top sound system, lighting, rich vocals and stage presence.
Founded by my dear friend Tom Bray in the early 2000's, they continually sold out venues right up to the very end of the project in 2025.

Acoustic Too was a side project with an amazing guitarist, Grant Erbe, out of Escondido. His guidance and playing style really brought my level of skill up a couple of notches. I am forever grateful for our time together.
Grant went on to work on some other studio projects and albums. Check him out!
While the project was shortlived, I believe it still has legs. I'm just waiting for the right time and partner to resurect this one.

I have the pleasure of occasionally performing in the Temecula Wine Country area with Evan Conway (guitar/vocals) and Ron Hougardy (keys/vocals) aka Toasted Oak.
Their casual, soft jam style is perfect for an afternoon of chilling over a bottle of wine with friends at one of the many local area wineries.
Be sure to check them out!

The Totally 80s band was dedicated to the 80s New Wave genre. It was fun for the first couple of years, but I felt constricted by the lack of musical diversity.
Steven Villicana (guitarist) and Chip Tarter (drummer) felt the same way. We went on to form the next project: Anyone's Guess Band.
